Because all services are custom, creative, and project-based, refund and cancellation decisions depend on
whether work has already started, what stage the project is at, and what scope has already been completed.
1. Custom Services
NRQ’s Studio provides custom remote audio services, which may include music production, full production,
mixing, mastering, editing, vocal tuning, reamping, session instrument recording, transcription,
stems or playback preparation, and related studio work.
These services are tailored individually for each client and project. For this reason, they are not treated
in the same way as standard physical goods or fixed off-the-shelf digital products.
2. Cancellation Before Work Begins
A client may request cancellation before work has started. If no actual work, technical preparation,
scheduling commitment, or project development has yet begun, any paid amount may be reviewed for a full
or partial refund, depending on the circumstances of the project and any payment processing costs already incurred.
If project planning, file review, preparation, scheduling, or other preliminary work has already been carried out,
part of the paid amount may be retained to cover the time and work already invested.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Started
Once work on a project has started, payments already made for the started stage of the project are generally
non-refundable. This reflects the custom nature of the work and the time already invested into the client’s material.
If a project is cancelled after work has started but before full completion, any possible refund will be considered
only in relation to the portion of the work that has not yet been carried out, and only where such a refund is
reasonably applicable.
4. Changes of Scope
If the client decides to rewrite, re-record, replace, or significantly change source material, arrangement,
production direction, or project requirements after work has started, such changes are not treated as a basis
for a refund of the original work already performed.
In such cases, the project may require an updated quote, revised timeline, or separate approval for the additional work.
5. Creative Preference and Subjective Dissatisfaction
Reasonable communication, references, and revision opportunities are intended to help align the work with the client’s vision.
However, completed time and labor are not refundable solely because of a change of preference, change of artistic direction,
or subjective dissatisfaction after agreed work has already been performed.
6. Client Delays or Inactivity
If a client becomes unresponsive for an extended period, the project may be marked as inactive or closed.
Client inactivity or delayed feedback does not automatically create a right to a refund for work already completed,
time already reserved, or project stages already carried out.
7. Delivery Stage
Once the agreed work has been completed and final deliverables or approved project files have been prepared for delivery,
the corresponding completed service stage is considered fulfilled and is generally non-refundable.
8. Project-Specific Terms
This website policy is general in nature. Specific payment stages, project structure, cancellation arrangements,
or additional service terms may be agreed separately in writing for a particular client or project.
Where such project-specific written terms exist, they take precedence over this general website policy.
9. Contact
